SUB: -   Anomalies in NCJ crew link.
                       Respected Sir,
                                        We are extremely thankful to your good self  for your kind consideration and care you took for the welfare of the running staff working at NCJ depot by taking immediate measures to correct a few anomalies in the latest link by the COM for NCJ depot.  In the current link following grievances we wish to make your good self’s kind attention and favorable action.

1) In the 16609/16610 (NCJ-MDU/at MDU/MDU-NCJ) link the NCJ crew is spared for more than 24 hrs at MDU running room. This is an elaborate waste of man power of our division without reason at an another division running room, that otherwise the crew’s service might have been utilized for TVC division effectively since our division is running short of running staff man power. We think 17236/16723 (NCJ-MDU/MDU-NCJ) will be a suitable replace for this link.
2) In the 16723/16724 (NCJ-TVC-NCJ) link the arrival of 16723 exp TVC is 12:10 and the departure of 16724 exp from TVC is 16:40. There is a gap of 4 hr 10 min between the arrival and departure, but the crew is not allowed to sign off and take rest at TVC. And hence this crew stressed due to platform rest and is deprived of running room amenities and even subsidized food. Please allow a sign off and sign on in this link at TVC.
3) The whole night 16127 exp to ERS to be braked at QLN or TVC. Since many LP’s and ALP’s are complaining that at a stretch night working of this full night train beyond KYJ is highly risky.
4) In the 16610/P/16609/22620/19578/19577/P/16381 (NCJ-TEN/TEN-TVC/TVC-TEN/TEN-TVC/TVC-NCJ) link 3 days of out-station working with 4 out station running room stay and 3 time HQ by-pass is there. Also due to timing change of 19577 the pairing P/16381 is not possible. Please modify this link to an out-station stay of maximum of 36 hrs.
5) 16382/16340(16352)/12666 all are early morning trains and it is against the practice of utilizing HQ crew for yearly morning trains. Since no bed is provided at NCJ running room for home station crew and also no crew lobby is available at NCJ crew depot as available in the other depots of our division, the HQ crew those who are staying out side calling area will find it difficult to stay in the previous night at NCJ. These trains are please to be compensated with sufficient mid-day or evening trains.
6) In the previous link there were five rests. In the latest COM link it had been reduced in to four. It has been again reduced in to three in the modified link came from your esteemed office. Likewise when ever newer links are introduced, our rests are gets reduced considerably. We are the only category in the Railway are denied of a calendar day rest at home in a week. Kindly take necessary action to restore at least the five rests according to the previous link. Also the three day LR link is in-operatable at NCJ since only 3 LPP are posted against sanctioned vacancies of 6 LPP.
