Metro fare hiked sans prior notice
Passengers taking the
Metro between Byappanahalli and M G Road were in for a surprise on Saturday,
when they were asked to pay Rs 17, which was Rs 2 more than the previous fare
of Rs 15.
This led to confusion among the passengers who travel along this route daily. It was a television scroll which confirmed the fare hike in the afternoon. Pradeep Singh Kharola, Managing Director, BMRCL, said the hike was minimal. It was put into effect from Saturday.
